In a press release published on May 6, 2026, the FHC announced the organization of the criterium “An n ale pedale pou lap\u00e8 retounen an Ayiti,” a race for both male and female categories. The meeting is set for 2 p.m. on Route Neuf, between the Darbonne junction and the former Darbonne sugar factory, for a 25-lap event totaling 90 kilometers.But behind the festive and competitive aspect of the event, the challenge is primarily athletic. “This competition serves as preparation and assessment for the Haitian junior team,” the Federation specifies in its statement. It is an opportunity to identify and condition the best riders before traveling to Canada.Contacted by Le Nouvelliste, the president of the Federation, K\u00e9nelt L\u00e9veill\u00e9, confirmed that Haiti plans to send a junior delegation made up of three or four cyclists to the World Championships in Montreal, scheduled from September 20 to 27, 2026. He also revealed that Wilson Sanon will participate in the competition in the U-18 category thanks to a wild card.
