The initiative aims to improve the care of road accident victims in a context marked by the increase in claims in Haiti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization Konbit San Pou San and the Association of Motorcyclists for the Well-being of the Community organized several first aid training sessions for motorcycle drivers in the commune of P\u00e9tion-Ville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In total, 46 motorcycle drivers participated in these trainings held between April 26 and May 10, 2026, around the theme: “One must help another.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the organizers, this initiative responds to the worrying increase in traffic accidents recorded in several regions of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program focused in particular on emergency intervention techniques, road safety measures, as well as the reflexes to adopt to quickly assist accident victims.Training manager at KSPS, Sterlin Saint Louis emphasized that motorcyclists are often among the first witnesses present at the scene of an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This training aims to turn witnesses into potential rescue actors,” he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organizers believe that a better mastery of first aid gestures could help reduce the response time for the injured and improve the chances of survival for the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This activity is also part of a broader approach to community mobilization around road safety issues and civic solidarity.KSPS specifically plans to organize a second blood drive on May 23, 2026, in Delmas 66. A first campaign carried out last January 12 had made it possible to collect 163 units of blood in several cities across the country, notably in P\u00e9tion-Ville, Cap-Ha\u00eftien, and Limonade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through these various initiatives, the organization\u2019s leaders hope to encourage a culture of prevention, mutual aid, and rapid response to road emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
