According to a ministry statement, technical assessments conducted by the Departmental Directorate of the West, the Directorate of Environmental Inspection and Surveillance (DISE), and the National Environmental Assessment Office (BNEE) revealed slope instability, accelerated erosion, and threats of landslides that could endanger populations and infrastructure.
