The first day of the National Conference of Religious Leaders for Peace, Stability, and Civics was held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Royal Oasis Hotel, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, under the patronage of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aim\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scheduled over two days, May 28 and 29, this meeting brings together representatives from several religious denominations to discuss the security crisis, social cohesion, and youth guidance. Among those present were notably Erol Josu\u00e9 (Vodou), Prophet Mackenson representing the Protestant sector, as well as the priest of the Christ-Roi parish, Brill\u00e8re Aupont.In his opening speech, the Prime Minister painted an alarming picture of the national situation. “It is no secret to anyone, our country is going through a painful, deep period,” he declared, calling on religious leaders to overcome divisions in order to contribute to the restoration of national stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Today more than ever, the supreme interest of the homeland commands us to overcome our divisions, restore hope, and consolidate national stability,” the head of government asserted, stating that “faith can be a unifying force in the service of peace, stability, and social cohesion.”The Prime Minister also emphasized the moral dimension of the current crisis.
