The 17 political party groups registered with the Electoral Council have not yet been approved to participate in the upcoming elections, with the first round set for December 13. The CEP is currently reviewing their files ahead of publishing the list of approved political groups. But in the meantime, who are they?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A well-informed source within the Electoral Council shared with Le Nouvelliste the list of the 17 political party coalitions. The newspaper then checked, with the political actors involved, the composition and the official representatives of most of these new structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The political party coalition named AYITI TRANSFOME is represented by its general coordinator, former deputy Jean David Genest\u00e9. It is made up of 12 parties: Alternative to Transform Haiti (ATHA); INIF\u00d2S; Konbit pou Rekontwi Ayiti (KOREH); Pou Nou Tout (PONT); Patriotic Force for the Renovation of Haiti (FPRH); Awakened Haitian Family (FAR); Haiti through Faith for Democratic Change (HAFAD); Reflection Group for a Haitian Historical Awakening (GRHA); Le National (LN); Informed Movement of Organized Patriots for Unity (MAPOU); Konbit for the Welfare and Full Inclusion of the Northwest (KONBIT NORD-OUEST); Veye Yo (VY).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These 17 political groups registered with the CEP bring together 227 political parties out of the 316 approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a CEP statement, the next step, after registering these political groups, is to review the submitted files with a view to publishing the list of approved political groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
