The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) released part of the official exam results for the 2025-2026 academic year this Friday, August 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Ministry’s General Inspectorate in Musseau. The results shared concern the 9th grade final exams, the New Secondary 4 (NSIV), and the Teachers’ and Kindergarten Teachers’ Training School (ENIJE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Director General of MENFP, Professor Osny Jean Marie, the 9th grade exam results are available for eight departments. Based on the data processed by the National Office of State Exams (BUNEXE), the pass rates are as follows:In the Central region, out of 12,064 participants, 10,404 passed, which is a success rate of 86.24%. In Grand\u2019Anse, 6,125 candidates out of 7,123 participants succeeded, for a rate of 85.99%. In Nippes, 6,549 candidates out of 8,674 participants passed, which is 75.50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the North, 17,945 candidates out of 19,203 participants succeeded, for a rate of 93.45%. In the North-East, 7,410 candidates out of 8,078 participants passed, with a success rate of 91.73%. In the West, 62,319 candidates out of 67,811 participants succeeded, which is 91.90%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the South, 11,806 candidates out of 12,910 participants passed, giving a rate of 91.45%. In the South-East, 7,721 candidates out of 9,610 participants succeeded, for a rate of 80.34%.For the New Secondary 4 (NSIV) exams, the results presented so far concern only two departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the West, 18,746 candidates out of 40,996 participants passed, which is a success rate of 45.73%. In Nippes, 1,649 candidates out of 4,086 participants passed, giving a rate of 40.36%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for the exams of the Normal School for Teachers and Kindergarten Educators (ENIJE), 1,759 candidates were admitted out of a total of 2,510 participants in the preschool and fundamental programs, a success rate of 70.08%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MENFP officials specified that the results of the other departments will be published next week.Diplomas and transcripts available starting next week<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister of National Education, Vijonet D\u00e9m\u00e9ro, reminded that legalized diplomas and transcripts will automatically be available for candidates who passed the exams. Starting next week, candidates will be able to claim these documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They will only need to pay a receipt fee at the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), costing 102 gourdes, to make their claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MENFP official also assured that textbooks and school kits are already available at the departmental education offices to support students for the start of the school year. Uniforms, he added, will be available starting next week.In addition, around 200,000 parents will receive support from UNICEF, the National Education Fund (FNE), and the World Bank as part of the back-to-school season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond the support measures put in place by the government, Minister D\u00e9m\u00e9ro called on parents to take responsibility and make sure their kids go to school.
