The Minister of Public Works, Transport, and Communications (MTPTC), Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, congratulated the winning universities during the official ceremony for handing out certificates and awards to the winners of the interdepartmental 3D modeling competition. The minister was joined by the UNESCO Resident Representative in Haiti, Eric Voli Bi. Named GenTech and launched on November 10, 2025, under the theme ‘Building the Future: Technology for Safe Construction,’ this first edition was organized by the UNESCO Office in Haiti, in partnership with the MTPTC. The competition brought together twenty universities from the North, West, South, Artibonite, and Grande-Anse departments, with four institutions from each department.
