The “Lajenès Kisa w Vle” (LKV) movement expresses its deep concern about the abuses observed in the management of the political transition in Haiti.
The “Lajenès Kisa w Vle” (LKV) movement expresses its deep concern regarding the observed problems in the management of the political transition in Haiti. In a statement dated June 7, 2026, the LKV reiterates its refusal to sign the “National Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections,” believing that this document contained the seeds of impending instability. Four months after the installation of the transitional government, no structural measures have been implemented to guarantee a credible, inclusive, and secure electoral process, the movement denounces. The movement emphasizes that the Prime Minister, by engaging in a power struggle with the Provisional Electoral Council, has compromised his constitutional legitimacy and political credibility. According to the LKV, the failure to respect Article 149 of the Constitution, which imposes a strict deadline for organizing elections after the declaration of a presidential vacancy, has stripped the government’s actions of all institutional coherence.
