Several dozen people gathered in front of the Pétion-Ville town hall this Tuesday to denounce the kidnapping of seven employees of the institution, including Joël, known as such.

Several dozen people gathered in front of the town hall of Pétion-Ville this Tuesday to denounce the kidnapping of seven employees of the institution, including Joël, as he is known. According to testimonies collected on the spot, they were kidnapped on the morning of Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Télélé market (Pétion-Ville) by unidentified armed individuals while carrying out a routine inspection. The protesters urge the town hall officials to take all necessary measures to secure their release.
