The Evangelical Baptist Union of Haiti (UEBH) celebrated its 98th anniversary on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Evangelical Baptist Church of Pétion-Ville (EBEP), around the theme: “Do not be afraid, God is always with us” taken from Deuteronomy 31:8. This celebration, filled with emotion, gratitude, and spirituality, will remain etched in the memories of the many faithful, pastors, and guests who took part in this historic day marking nearly a century of ministry, testimony, and service within Haitian society. A ceremony filled with solemnity The ceremony took place in an impressive setting, carefully prepared for the occasion, in front of a distinguished audience composed of pastors, assistant pastors, UEBH church leaders, as well as numerous faithful coming from different regions of the country. Several important personalities had also made the trip,among whom was the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pélissier, a member of the Berea Baptist Church. Former ministers, former secretaries of state, representatives of public institutions, notably from the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), as well as leaders of Christian and humanitarian organizations were also present.
