The head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Rural Development (MARNDR), Marcelin Aubourg, went on a tour in the Nippes department on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, to check out several projects under the Resilient Agriculture for Food Security Project (PARSA), funded by the World Bank.

The Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Rural Development (MARNDR), Marcelin Aubourg, took a tour of the Nippes department on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, to inspect several projects under the Resilient Agriculture for Food Security Project (PARSA), funded by the World Bank. The visit included a 580-ton storage warehouse in Petite-Rivière-de-Nippes, a rice mill and an irrigation system in Anse-à-Veau, the rehabilitation of a farm track in Arnaud, and 15 household tanks in L’Asile. According to MARNDR, the minister took the opportunity to check progress on the ground, gauge its impact on the population, and work on improving access to water, roads, rice processing, and agricultural activities in several communities.
