Switzerland won 2-0 against Algeria in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, thanks to goals from Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye. It’s the first time since their 5 goals against Austria on June 26, 1954, that Switzerland has scored two goals in a World Cup knockout match.
