Launch of a workshop on social reconstruction for women and young people

The Ministry for the Status of Women and Women’s Rights (MCFDF), in partnership with the Embassy of Mexico, UN Women, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) and Chatham House, launched, this Wednesday, in Pétion-Ville, a two-day workshop on the role of women and youth in rebuilding the social fabric in Haiti.

The Ministry for the Condition of Women and Women’s Rights (MCFDF), in partnership with the Embassy of Mexico, UN Women, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), and Chatham House, launched on Wednesday in Pétion-Ville a two-day workshop on the role of women and youth in rebuilding the social fabric in Haiti. In her speech, the head of the MCFDF, Pedrica Saint Jean, recalled that women’s resilience and the energy of youth are essential pillars in the face of insecurity and precariousness challenges. According to the ministry, the initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between public institutions, international partners, and community actors with a view to building an inclusive and resilient society.
