The Ministries of Economy and Finance (MEF) and of Trade and Industry (MCI) announced, in a notice published on Saturday, June 13, 2026, a new adjustment of fuel prices at the pump across the country. The measure comes into effect this Monday, June 15, 2026, following the recommendation of the Advisory Council for Monitoring the Oil Market dated June 10, 2026.

“The Ministries of Economy and Finance (MEF) and of Commerce and Industry (MCI), following the recommendations of the Advisory Council dated June 10, 2026, inform the general public, importers, distributors, and consumers of petroleum products in particular, that the pump prices currently in effect nationwide are set as follows: gasoline 700 gourdes; diesel 790 gourdes; kerosene 785 gourdes,” announced the government.

The price of a gallon of diesel has dropped by 35 gourdes, going from 825 to 790 gourdes. Kerosene, on the other hand, has been reduced from 845 to 785 gourdes, a decrease of 60 gourdes. The price of a gallon of gasoline, however, remains unchanged at 700 gourdes. This adjustment meets the requirements of the decree of March 27, 2026, which replaced the one from March 9, 1995, that had been regulating fuel prices in Haiti for over thirty years, but was never enforced.

It’s worth remembering that in March 2026, pump prices saw a significant increase. Starting April 2, 2026, the price of a gallon of gasoline went from 560 to 725 gourdes, diesel from 620 to 850 gourdes, and kerosene from 615 to 845 gourdes, which means increases of 165, 230, and 230 gourdes per gallon, respectively. Then, starting from May 10, 2026, consumers were given the first relief. Diesel was lowered from 850 to 825 gourdes, and gasoline from 725 to 700 gourdes. Kerosene, meanwhile, stayed steady at 845 gourdes. According to the Advisory Council spokesperson, Jacques Anderson Desroches, this decision came after a 5.5% drop in the calculated price of diesel on the international market, while gasoline had actually seen a 21% increase.
