The Ministry of Tourism and the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) have launched a cooperation aimed at improving access to drinking water in the country’s tourist hubs and heritage sites. Tourism Minister Stéphanie Smith and DINEPA Director General Théophil Ostinvil have set up a collaboration framework to ensure sustainable supply, particularly in Jacmel and the Grand North, according to a ministry note. Technical studies are also underway for the cultural sites of Souvenance, Soukri, and Badjo, the note says.
