The Minister of National Education, Vijonet Déméro, took part from April 27 to May 1 in the 61st session of the Conference of Ministers of Education of the States and Governments of La Francophonie (CONFEMEN), dedicated to promoting the teaching profession. Alongside his counterparts from Chad and Morocco, he presented the efforts of the Haitian state to improve working conditions and strengthen teacher training. The meeting made it possible to identify several avenues of cooperation, notably the revision of school textbooks, continuing education, and the development of Centers of Excellence in Microsciences. Haiti, already engaged in UNESCO’s global program on microsciences, intends to strengthen its partnership with CONFEMEN and explore the possibilities of developing projects with Haitian universities, according to the MENFP.
