The MAEC mourns the death of Ambassador Nicolas Lemithe

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship announced that it learned with “great sadness” of the death of Ambassador Nicolas Lemithe, which occurred on June 15, 2026, in Port-au-Prince. Mr. Lemithe represented Haiti in Mexico, Colombia, Italy, Venezuela, and at the United Nations. The ministry said it salutes his exemplary career and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, former colleagues, and the staff of central and overseas services.
