For their debut in the 2026 World Cup, England put on an offensive show by beating Croatia 4-2 on Wednesday in Arlington, Texas, thanks in particular to a double from their striker Harry Kane, who now has 10 World Cup goals.
In this replay of the 2018 semi-final matchup won by the Croatians, Kane opened the scoring with a penalty (12th minute) and then gave the English the lead again with a header (42nd) after Martin Baturina’s equalizer (36th).
While Peter Musa (45+5) had allowed Luka Modric’s teammates to level before halftime, Jude Bellingham (47th) put the Three Lions back in front, before Marcus Rashford sealed the result (85th).
