Mbappé, now with 6 goals in this World Cup, opened the scoring late in the first half (45th minute) for France. Bradley Barcola (53rd), after a brilliant pass from Michael Olise, doubled the lead, before Mbappé scored again (74th), once more set up by Olise.
Les Bleus, finalists in the last World Cup, will face Paraguay in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Philadelphia, who had knocked out Germany.
