The French team outclassed Sweden 3-0 on Tuesday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford (New Jersey) in the Round of 16 of the World Cup, thanks in particular to a brace from their prolific scorer Kylian Mbappé, and will face Paraguay in the quarterfinals.

Mbappé, now with 6 goals in this World Cup, opened the scoring late in the first half (45th minute) for France. Bradley Barcola (53rd), after a brilliant pass from Michael Olise, doubled the lead, before Mbappé scored again (74th), once more set up by Olise.

Les Bleus, finalists in the last World Cup, will face Paraguay in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Philadelphia, who had knocked out Germany.
