At Montevideo’s Pocitos Stadium, France beat Mexico 4-1 thanks to goals from Lucien Laurent, Marcel Langiller, and André Maschinot (who scored twice), while Juan Carreño saved a bit of pride for the Mexicans.

At Montevideo’s Parque Central, the United States dominated Belgium 3-0 with goals from Bart McGhee, Bert Patenaude, and Tom Florie.
