The White House announced on Thursday the suspension of one of its staff members operating President Donald Trump’s teleprompter, suspected of having bet tens of thousands of dollars on the content of his speeches that he knew in advance.
This staff member was suspended “without pay,” said Karoline Leavitt, the spokesperson for the U.S. administration, during a press briefing, adding that Donald Trump found the situation “really regrettable and, honestly, a shame.”
