After England’s defeat against Argentina, Thomas Tuchel defended his tactical choices and said he had no regrets. “It wasn’t a structural problem. The game just completely changed. But I can understand the discussions. There are millions of coaches who think they know better…,” said the English manager.
Tuchel added: “I can go and talk to the million coaches, but I’m the one who has to make the decisions.”
Despite the elimination, the German coach of the Three Lions remains pleased with his team’s performance: “I have no regrets. We played one of our best matches, maybe the best. If the result isn’t positive, it’s easy to say my decisions were wrong.”
