After an electric first half interrupted by fouls, Harry Kane’s teammates took the lead with a goal from Anthony Gordon (55th minute). Argentina equalized late in the match through Enzo Fernandez (85th minute), assisted by the ever-present Messi, who in stoppage time delivered a pinpoint cross that Lautaro Martinez headed into the English net (90+2).

The Argentinians, reigning world champions, will face European champions Spain on Sunday in the final at MetLife Stadium in New York. The English will play the day before in Miami for the third place match against Les Bleus.
