According to the Miami Herald, the U.S. Department of Justice accuses him of being part of a network that allegedly allowed the illegal export of at least 140 firearms to Haiti since 2020. He is 53 years old and was arrested in December 2024 following a U.S. authorities’ investigation that linked him to two semi-automatic AR-15 type assault rifles.
