The National Association of Independent Normal School Teachers of Haiti (ANNIH) denounces, in a note, the kidnapping of four teachers that happened on Monday, August 3, 2026, in Lacroix-Périsse, while they were heading to Gonaïves to grade the baccalaureate exams.

The National Association of Independent Normal School Graduates of Haiti (ANNIH) condemns, in a statement, the kidnapping of four teachers that took place on Monday, August 3, 2026, in Lacroix-Périsse, while they were heading to Gonaïves to grade baccalaureate papers. The victims have been identified as Jean Philippe Alix, Ronald, Petit-Phar Exechiel, and Judner Jean Marie. ANNIH demands their immediate release and expresses solidarity with their families. The association is calling on society to unite against this scourge that threatens human dignity and public safety.
