In the lead-up to the Easter season, the EMHAR Philharmonic Orchestra, in partnership with the Solidarity and Action Foundation, held a concert called ‘Torrents of Love’ on March 29, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Pétion-Ville. The event brought together three orchestras and a choir for a moment of worship and inspiration, attracting a large audience eager to experience a unique musical and spiritual experience.
For one evening, the First Baptist Church of Pétion-Ville was transformed into a real concert hall, where the orchestral sounds filled the building. In an atmosphere that was both solemn and warm, the musicians delivered a performance marked by the richness and variety of the pieces played. The audience, attentive and enthusiastic, followed every note with interest.Throughout the evening, the orchestra offered a varied repertoire blending compositions from here and elsewhere. The performances allowed the audience to travel musically through different styles and influences. Maestro Duckens was honored for his work and his contribution to Haitian music. The organizers praised his career and dedication in the musical field. With nearly forty years devoted to composing and creating music, his work continues to nurture and inspire the country’s music scene.
