North Miami will vibrate this weekend to the rhythm of compas. For the second consecutive year, The NoMI Village will host the Haitian Compas Festival on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The 28th edition of the Haitian Compas Festival will take place this year at NoMI Village, in the north of Miami, right in the heart of the Haitian community established in the city. Usually held in downtown Miami, the festival was relocated to reassure the public amid concerns related to the operations of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, according to Rodrigue Alcindor, one of the event organizers. For this edition, the organizers are offering a well-stocked lineup with the groups Klass, Kaï, Vayb, T-Vice, Disip, Koudjay, Vakam, and Volum. Annie Alerte’s crew is also announced, alongside DJs AndyBeatz, Colmix, LC, Nicky Mixx, Bullet, Heavy, Lens, and Super Duke.

The Haitian Compas Festival will take place while, everywhere in the world where the Haitian diaspora is present, cultural events are organized to celebrate the Haitian flag. “It is not just a cultural event of Haitian music, it is a way to celebrate our flag in the diaspora,” emphasized Rodrigue Alcindor.
