Following the arrival of Nick Friedman as head coach, the FHB announced on Thursday, May 7, 2026, the arrival of Sébastien Sanon as General Manager of the Haitian basketball team.
In order to continue consolidating its development project, the FHB is gradually strengthening the management of the Haitian national basketball team. Following the appointment of Nick Friedman as head coach, the Federation announced the arrival of Sebastien Sanon, a member of the Philadelphia 76ers organization, to the Haitian staff as General Manager.
This new collaboration illustrates the Haitian Basketball Federation’s desire to rely on expertise from North American professional basketball in order to further structure the Haitian basketball team and prepare for upcoming international events.Born in New York, Sebastien Sanon has a steadily advancing career in American basketball. A graduate of Florida State University in political science and sports management, the Haiti-born (born to two Haitian parents) has accumulated experiences in sports development and operations management before joining the Philadelphia 76ers organization, an NBA franchise.
