The commune of Kenscoff, once known for its peaceful climate and fertile agricultural land, is facing a concerning situation.

The municipality of Kenscoff, once known for its peaceful climate and fertile farmland, is facing a worrying situation. The insecurity spreading in certain localities is driving many residents to abandon their homes in search of refuge in safer areas. Among the most affected places is the locality of Nouvelle Touraine, where families have been forced to flee hastily.

Farmland weakened by insecurity

Located in the highlands in the west of the country, the municipality of Kenscoff covers about 202.8 km² and plays an important role in the national agricultural economy. Agriculture is the main sector of activity in the region, notably the cultivation of vegetables such as carrots, cabbages, lettuce, and potatoes, as well as livestock farming.
