Following the armed clashes that broke out on May 10, 226, in several neighborhoods of the Cité Soleil commune, approximately 10,182 people (2,353 households) were forced to flee, according to a new report from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Following the armed clashes that broke out on May 10, 226, in several neighborhoods of the Cité Soleil commune, approximately 10,182 people (2,353 households) were forced to flee, according to a new report by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The majority took refuge in 20 sites, including 15 preexisting and 5 newly created. Delmas hosts 59% of the displaced, followed by Tabarre (19%) and various neighborhoods of Cité Soleil (19%). Observations reveal urgent humanitarian needs, particularly regarding the separation of children and the lack of essential items for women.
