The Football World Cup is not just a matter of round ball.

The Football World Cup is not just a matter of soccer. As the FIFA 2026 World Cup approaches, the qualification of the Grenadiers also inspires Haitian artists. Young singer Halfdan and BIC Tizon Dife thus present “Ayiti… Dan!”, a musical composition driven by the euphoria of Haiti’s return to the grand stage of world football, 52 years after its first participation.

It was the scenes of celebration following Haiti’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup that inspired Halfdan to create this piece, which seeks to express the collective joy of a people.

Musically, “Ayiti… Dan!” is a bundle of energy blending various influences: rara tech, afro, and rap, with a strong presence of percussion. BIC explained that the artists chose to focus on “local originality”.
