Wilde-Donald Guerrier has ended his professional football career ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Not selected for this competition, the Haitian hangs up his boots.
“Donald Guerrier has decided to end his career following the expiration of his contract,” announced Hutnik Kraków in a statement published on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The club, playing in the Polish third division, made the news official on its official account.
Donald is among the few Haitian players to participate in almost all major competitions (Gold Cup, Champions League, Copa America, to name just a few). Initially a left-back, he started with Violette in 2009. He stayed there for two years before playing for America des Cayes between 2011 and 2013Donald completed several stints abroad, notably at Wisła Kraków (2013-2016), Alanyaspor (2016-2017), Qarabağ FK (2017-2019, 2020-2021), FK Neftchi (2019-2020), Apollon Limassol (2021), Wieczysta Kraków (2022), Olympiacos Nicosia (2022), FK Zira (2023) in Azerbaijan, Cosmos Koblenz in Germany (2025-2026) and Hutnik Kraków (2026)..A true legend of the Haitian national team, Donald Guerrier leaves behind a career rich in inspiration. The only scorer for Haiti against Spain in 2013, the native of Port-à-Piment had scored one of the most beautiful goals in the history of the Haitian national team. Six years later, on the occasion of the 2019 Gold Cup, DG77 scored the winning goal in the match between Haiti and Canada (3-2).
The former Grenadier made his mark both wearing the colors of Haiti (59 matches, 10 goals) and with several European clubs, notably playing high-level matches in the Champions League with Qarabag FK, and in the Europa League with the same team. Competitions that have embellished the career of the former Violette AC player.Starting in the streets of Haiti before conquering Europe, Donald Guerrier won the Azerbaijan championship twice. Hoping to play in the 2026 World Cup following Haiti’s qualification, Donald Guerrier ultimately missed this train. A train that could have placed him a little higher in the ranking of the best Haitian players of all time.
