The members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) met on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. The discussions focused mainly on the Electoral Decree published on June 2, 2026, as well as on the necessary provisions for organizing free, inclusive, transparent, and credible elections, in accordance with the democratic aspirations of the Haitian people, according to a CEP note. The CEP and the head of government agreed to maintain this framework for consultation in order to strengthen coordination and ensure the advancement of the electoral process, the note continues.
