Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé praised the Haitian team’s performance despite the loss to Scotland (0-1) in their debut at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Our national team showed a respectable level of play tonight. The Grenadiers demonstrated that they have the qualities needed to compete with their opponents and proudly represent Haiti,” the head of government wrote on X, highlighting that this match showcases “the potential” of the national team.
The Prime Minister also urged the players to stay “focused, motivated, and confident for the rest of the competition.”
