On the sidelines of the 56th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), Haitian Foreign Minister Raina Forbin met with her Canadian counterpart Anita Anand in Panama City.

On the sidelines of the 56th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), Haitian Foreign Minister Raina Forbin met with her Canadian counterpart Anita Anand in Panama City. The discussions focused on Canada’s ongoing support for efforts to restore public security in Haiti and the importance of coordinated international action. On the occasion, Ms. Anand reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to supporting Haiti in its transition to stability and the return to democratic order, notably through the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution on the Gangs Suppression Force (FRG) and the United Nations Support Office in Haiti (BINUH), the ministry said.
