Helicopters were seen this Tuesday evening over several areas of the Port-au-Prince metropolitan region, including Delmas, Delmas 75, on the Frères road, in Pétion-Ville, and around the Villa d’Accueil.

According to several eyewitness accounts collected by our editorial team, these flyovers had been going on for more than half an hour at the time of publication, raising questions among local residents. Some inhabitants also mentioned a sense of unease due to the frequency of the flights observed in these areas.

Contacted by Juno7, several government sources were unable to specify the origin or purpose of these aerial movements. No official communication had been released at this stage.

Juno7 is continuing its checks with the relevant authorities and will update this information as soon as confirmed details are available.
