Haitian journalist Marie Raphaëlle Pierre is taking part in the Centenary Congress of the International Federation of Journalists, held from May 4 to 7, 2026, in Paris, representing the Association of Haitian Journalists.

Originally from Kenscoff, she has been directing the news on Radio Ibo since 2011.

Marie Raphaëlle Pierre launched her journalism career in 1998 at Radio Haïti Inter. She earned a master’s in journalism through a collaboration linking Quisqueya University with the Centre de Formation des Journalistes (CFPJ) in Paris for professionals.

During her appearances, the journalist discusses the challenges confronting Haitian media amid a climate of insecurity and financial strain and rising costs.

She also maintains her duties at Radio Ibo, hosting several programs, while taking part in training projects for Haitian journalists actively.
