The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), in partnership with PAHO/WHO, launched a vaccination campaign on August 11, 2026, in ten municipalities of the West Department. Children aged 0 to 59 months are targeted to receive free vaccines against polio, measles-rubella, and diphtheria, as well as vitamin A, albendazole, and a nutritional screening. The municipalities involved are Port-au-Prince, Carrefour, Gressier, Kenscoff, Delmas, Pétion-Ville, Tabarre, Cité Soleil, Cabaret, and Croix-des-Bouquets. Activities will continue on August 13, 17, and 18, with a pause on the 14th. The West Health Directorate is calling on parents to get involved to protect their children against these diseases.
