Iranian diplomacy assured on Friday evening that the nuclear issue was not included in the memorandum of understanding currently under discussion with the United States, following contradictory remarks by Donald Trump.
“At this stage, our priority is to end the war, and there are no negotiations on the nuclear issue,” said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaïl Baghaï, on state television.
Earlier, the American president had announced that he was preparing to make a “final decision” on a possible agreement, suggesting that Iran had agreed to destroy its stock of highly enriched uranium.
