“I don’t want anyone to declare independence and, you know, then we are supposed to go 15,000 kilometers to wage war,” said the American president, according to a clip broadcast on Friday by Fox News.”We do not want anyone to say, let’s declare independence because the United States supports us,” he insisted, adding that no decision has yet been made on a sale of weapons to the island.
