The Haitian national football team, in a demonstration, shut out New Zealand (4-0) on Friday, June 2, at Chase Stadium in Florida, in an international friendly match preparing for the 2026 World Cup.
After a timid start, the Grenadiers, before the first quarter of the match, were about to wake up. To achieve this, Wilson Isidor became a decisive passer for Ruben Providence (1-0, 12th) who opened the score. Despite the offensive efforts of the Grenadiers, the score did not change: 1-0 for Haiti, who made a strong impression at halftime.
At the restart, the Grenadiers, in a demonstration, scored two more goals by Lenny Joseph (2-0, 51st) assisted by Frantzdy Pierrot. The latter, in a state of grace, shook the nets in turn to bring the score to (3-0, 62nd minute). Frantzdy Pierrot therefore took advantage of this to score his 34th goal for the Haiti national team.
Three minutes before the end of the match, Duke Lacroix (4-0, 87th minute) scored another goal to seal a clear and overwhelming victory for the Haitian national football team, which was simply putting on a demonstration.
The next outing for the Grenadiers is scheduled for Friday, June 5, against the national team of Peru.
