The American chargé d’affaires, Henry T. Wooster, who praised the courageous acts, the great sacrifices, and the extraordinary bravery of police officers during interventions, face-to-face encounters, in neighborhoods, and homes, stated that ‘the PNH must be an incorruptible force.’ ‘The fundamental elements that must be in place here are that the PNH must be an incorruptible force,’ he said.

“The PNH is facing a situation that no police force, in any country—mine or any other—would want to deal with. It’s a police force, but it has to deal with military and terrorist insurgency tactics. The PNH is not SEAL Team Six. That’s not what it was designed for. And yet, it finds itself in a situation that is much more in the military realm than in law enforcement,” said the American diplomat, sticking to his point. “At the same time, there’s still a lot of cleaning up to do within the force,” Henry T. Wooster added.
