Another drop in fuel prices at the pump across the whole country. The announcement was made by the Ministries of Economy and Finance (MEF) and of Commerce and Industry (MCI) in a notice published on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
According to notice number 25/26-004, prices are now set at 650 gourdes for gasoline, 700 gourdes for diesel, and 690 gourdes for kerosene. The revision was made on the recommendation of the Advisory Council, which met on July 3, 2026, the notice states.
“The Ministries of Economy and Finance (MEF), of Trade and Industry (MCI), following the recommendations of the Advisory Council dated July 3, 2026, inform the general public, importers, distributors, and consumers of petroleum products in particular, that the pump prices currently in effect nationwide are set as follows: 650 gourdes for gasoline, 700 gourdes for diesel, and 690 gourdes for kerosene,” reads the document that the newspaper obtained a copy of.This new adjustment marks another drop in prices following the one on June 13th. Since the decree on fuel prices from March 27, 2026, this is the fourth revision of pump prices.
Recap of adjustments since April
A first significant increase was recorded on April 2, 2026: gasoline went from 560 to 725 gourdes, diesel from 620 to 850 gourdes, and kerosene from 615 to 845 gourdes, representing respective increases of 165, 230, and 230 gourdes.
The first relief came on May 10, 2026, bringing diesel down from 850 to 825 gourdes and gasoline from 725 to 700 gourdes, while kerosene remained stable at 845 gourdes. The Advisory Council spokesperson, Jacques Anderson Desroches, explained this decision at the time by a 5.5% drop in the calculated price of diesel on the international market, compared to a 21% rise for gasoline.
A second adjustment, which came into effect on June 15, 2026, then reduced diesel from 825 to 790 gourdes and kerosene from 845 to 785 gourdes, with gasoline remaining unchanged at 700 gourdes.
