As announced by the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), the baccalaureate exams will be held from July 13 to 16, 2026, across the country.
In total, 118,090 candidates are expected to take these official exams, announced the Minister of National Education, Vijonet Déméro, during a press conference held this Friday, July 10, at the offices of the General Inspectorate of MENFP. Among them, 14,338 candidates come from the permanent NS IV baccalaureate and 874 from the permanent philosophy baccalaureate.
The West department has the highest number of registrants with 42,623 candidates, or 41.43% of the national total. It is followed by the North (12,020 candidates) and Artibonite (11,947 candidates).
For the first time, the MENFP will also hold technological baccalaureate exams for 23 candidates. This initiative is part of the reforms launched by the ministry to modernize the education system.
Ijonet Déméro made a call to everyone involved to act responsibly to ensure that the exams run smoothly. He encouraged candidates to behave exemplary in the exam centers, reminding them that any attempt at cheating will be punished according to the current regulations.
For his part, the Director General of MENFP, Osny Jean Marie, confirmed that all arrangements have already been made for the start of the exams. According to him, schools have received their exam sheets and the various centers are ready to welcome the candidates.
When asked about the situation of students in Kenscoff, who are facing insecurity due to attacks by armed groups, Mr. Jean Marie clarified that no exam center is set up in that area. However, a center has been arranged in Pétion-Ville to allow Kenscoff candidates to take their exams under good conditions.Minister Déméro reaffirmed the MENFP’s commitment to providing hot meals to candidates in exam centers. He did, however, note that special attention will be given to the departments of the West, Center, Artibonite, and North, due to the limited resources available to the ministry.
