According to a United Nations report, between July 4 and 9, the Village of God gang carried out a series of attacks in Kenscoff and Pétion-Ville, killing at least 61 people, including 14 children. The victims were killed in their homes, while trying to flee, or on the roads. The Robin community suffered the majority of the losses. At least 5,840 residents were displaced, while homes and telecommunications infrastructure were destroyed. Even though the attacks stopped on July 9, the situation remains tense, with gangs still maintaining their presence in Kenscoff.
