The Ministry of Defense has released the report on Mario Andrésol’s first 100 days as head of the institution. Among the achievements are the integration of 339 soldiers, a nationwide recruitment campaign with 17,722 applications, including 4,331 from women, and rehabilitation work at the Vertières, Anacaona, and Clercine bases. A new military doctrine is being developed, with a public forum scheduled for August. According to the ministry, international cooperation has increased with France, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and the United States, including specialized training and military scholarships. Also highlighted in the report are the gradual deployment of the FAd’H in support of the National Police, the creation of digital platforms, and the development of the Military Blood Bank.The 2026-2027 action plan includes continuing to modernize infrastructure, bringing in new recruits, and strengthening operational capabilities to build a modern army that’s suited to today’s challenges, he added.
