The government sent out ten trucks loaded with medicine and medical supplies to different parts of the country to boost response capabilities for the cyclone season. The departure of these convoys, meant to be pre-positioned in the various regions, was overseen on Sunday, July 26 in Maïs-Gâté by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. He was joined by the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Sinal Bertrand.
