The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC), Raina Forbin, signed on Monday, August 17, 2026, with Gianpiero Leoncini, Executive Vice President of the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), also known as the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, an agreement on immunities, exemptions, and privileges between the Republic of Haiti and the CAF.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC), Raina Forbin, signed on Monday, August 17, 2026, with Gianpiero Leoncini, Executive Vice President of the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), also known as the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, an agreement on immunities, exemptions, and privileges between the Republic of Haiti and CAF. According to the MAEC, this agreement will allow CAF to carry out its activities within the national territory. This signing is part of Haiti’s process of joining CAF as a shareholder member country. It follows the signing, on the same day, of the share subscription agreement by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin, on behalf of the Haitian state.
