The Jacot Football Academy wrapped up its sports and educational summer camp this Friday, August 21, in Henfrasa, Delmas. Around 150 young people took part in this activity, which started on July 13.
In a festive atmosphere, Jacot Football Passion wrapped up its 2026 summer camp in Henfrasa, with parents, participants, and several other guests in attendance. For this closing day, the organizers arranged various activities combining sports, educational games, and social moments. The young participants were also rewarded for their involvement and performance during the camp. Special attention was given to the Salvation Army team, which won the “Genius” competition centered around sports, culture, and general knowledge. The closing ceremony also featured several activities, including a youth parade, games, matches, and a game between the parents and the instructors.The summer camp has become a real tradition at Jacot Football Passion. The Academy started after a summer camp, and since then, it has kept this activity going, making many local kids happy. Beyond learning football, this program gives children and teenagers a chance to develop their skills, have fun, and spend their time in a positive way during the holidays.
The camp also allows young people who didn’t have the chance to participate in Academy activities during the school year to come and learn the basics of football. Ball control, passing, movement, and other fundamental skills are part of what the coaches teach. “Our satisfaction comes from seeing the progress of these kids, who can now do controls, passes, and other basic moves. On top of that, they took part in a sort of program based on sports, culture, and general knowledge. They also developed their abilities through educational games. They learned the rules of the game, which will help them understand football better and play it more effectively,” said Jacques Hans Vilfort, the Academy’s director.For the people in charge of Jacot Football Passion, the goal isn’t just to train young football players. The Academy also aims to contribute to their education and personal growth. The different activities offered during the camp allowed participants to strengthen their team spirit, discipline, knowledge of the sport, and their ability to thrive in a group setting.The new season of Jacot Football Passion will start on September 9. Jacques Hans Vilfort also announced the organization of a talent scouting event aimed at the most talented vulnerable youth. About twenty of them are expected to be selected at the end of this scouting. The Academy plans to support these young people both in their schooling and in their football training. Jacot Football Passion thus wants to give these youths a better chance to develop their talents and continue their journey under good conditions. To make this project a reality, the Academy is also counting on the support of various partners and individuals willing to back this initiative.
It’s worth noting that Jacot Football Passion also organized another summer camp for the youth of Carrefour. Around 90 young people are participating in this activity, which is set to end on Monday, August 24 of this year.
