Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Islamabad on Friday for talks regarding the war with the United States and Israel, the official IRNA news agency confirmed, following a statement to that effect from a Pakistani official.

The Pakistani capital is preparing for a second round of talks between the United States and Iran, but it is unclear whether Araghchi will meet with American officials.

The minister “will begin a regional tour Friday evening, visiting Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow,” IRNA reported. “The purpose of this trip is to conduct bilateral consultations, discuss ongoing developments in the region, and review the situation concerning the war imposed by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.”
